Size & Care

Vintage Size vs. Modern Size
The size printed in most vintage items is generally not a good predictor of how that garment will fit a modern body. Modern size estimates are given to help translate a garment's actual measurements to a modern frame and to help narrow your search in our shop. These estimates should not be used in place of the actual measurements because everyone's body is unique. If you need additional measurements or have questions about the modern size estimates please feel free to contact me. A simple way to tell if an item will fit properly is to compare the given measurements to a garment you already own. Be sure to measure your item the same way we measure ours (see detailed instructions under "How We Measure").

Vintage Condition Details
All of the items in our shop are authentic vintage pieces, in most cases you will receive the exact item shown in the photos. All items are 20+ years old and most garments have been worn before, if "general wear" is noted, expect normal signs of age which could include subtle faint stains, pinholes, etc...

How We Measure
Measurements are taken in inches with garment laying flat (double numbers where necessary).
-
Guide to Measuring
Lay garment out flat taking care to smooth any wrinkles that may give you an inaccurate measurement. Take measurements at the following points:
Shoulders: across from one shoulder seam to the other
Chest: across from one arm pit seam to the other
Length: down from top of shoulder (next to neck)
Sleeve: down from shoulder seam to end of sleeve (from neck if no shoulder seam)
Waist: across from one side of waist band to the other
Hips: across rise, from one side to the other (4"-5" up from crotch seam)
Rise: up the front from crotch seam to top of waist band
Inseam: down from crotch seam to bottom (inner seam)

Shipping
All orders are shipped via USPS or UPS and will come with a tracking number and standard insurance. Please contact us before placing an order if you would like to use an alternative shipping method, want additional insurance, or would like to add the requirement of signature upon delivery. If your package seems to be lost before delivery, please contact us as soon as possible so we can assist in locating it. In the event that an item is lost in the mail we will do everything in our power to assist in tracking down the package, but once items are marked shipped they are out of our hands, therefore we cannot offer refunds for lost merchandise.
International Fees Notice to International Buyers Especially in the UK
If you are out of the U.S. please remember that you are responsible for any import taxes or duties charged by your government. Those fees are not our shop's responsibility and we are unable to prepay them or work them into the cost of the item. Also, please do not ask us to mark "gift" on your customs paperwork. That is illegal. Those in the UK can check with Inland Revenue at http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/ to find out more about your obligation for VAT etc. Please educate yourself before purchasing to avoid any unpleasant surprises. -
Returns
We do not issue refunds. Our stock is limited to one-off vintage pieces that have been individually sourced, restored, cleaned, repaired, measured, photographed, and listed with great detail. We do all of this work so you can make an informed purchase on our site. Always feel free to reach out with any questions you may have before you make your purchase. Thank you for understanding!
